According to the complaint, which precedes a discrimination lawsuit in California, Baldoni was told to stop showing Lively photos and videos of nude women, stop mentioning his “alleged previous pornography addiction” or prior sexual conquests, and to stop referring to the cast and crew’s genitalia. The complaint says Baldoni was also ordered to stop adding “sex scenes, oral sex or on-camera climaxing by [Lively] outside the scope of the script [Lively] approved when signing onto the project,” according to TMZ, which first reported the suit. Lively alleges Baldoni and the studio soon embarked on a “multi-tiered plan” to “destroy” her reputation following that meeting, including planting news stories and engineering social media campaigns that were critical of Lively. The complaint reportedly includes text messages between Baldoni’s PR rep and a studio publicist, obtained through subpoena, which allegedly outlined their plan to “eviscerate” Lively if she went public with her concerns. Amid promotion for the film, production sources told multiple outlets that Lively, a co-producer of the movie, used her celebrity to take creative control from director Baldoni. Lively was accused of bringing in her husband to do last-minute rewrites and of hiring her own editor, resulting in two different cuts of the film . As those stories were circulating online, the crew appeared to side with Baldoni, as did much of the internet, in part due to his centering of the film’s promotion around its story of domestic violence, while Lively billed the movie as more lighthearted. During the press tour, Lively was widely criticized for making light of a troubling story in favor of promoting her hair care and alcohol brands. Many of her old, often dismissive interviews also surfaced online, compounding the public’s negative perception of her. But according to the complaint, Baldoni “abruptly pivoted away from” the movie’s marketing plan and “used domestic violence ‘survivor content’ to protect his public image.” Lively claims his “manipulation” campaign harmed her businesses and caused her to suffer from “grief, fear, trauma and extreme anxiety.” In a statement on Saturday, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, slammed the “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious” allegations, claiming the “Gossip Girl” alum is merely scrambling to “fix her negative reputation.” Freedman also refuted Lively’s accusations of a “coordinated” smear campaign, instead saying a crisis PR rep was “proactively” hired because she was creating problems during production. Freedman alleges she threatened to not show up on set or promote the movie “if her demands were not met,” but did not specify what those demands were. Netflix will have one of its biggest days Wednesday since the site launched in 1998 when it airs two NFL games for the first time. "NFL Christmas Gameday on Netflix" begins with a two-hour pregame show at 11 a.m., before Pittsburgh hosts Kansas City. Baltimore faces Houston in the second game. The streaming giant agreed to a three-year contract in May to carry Christmas Day games. Netflix's 282.3 million subscribers in over 190 countries will be able to stream the games, marking the first time one outlet has distributed an NFL game globally. Netflix will have the games available in five languages — English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. The games will also air on CBS affiliates in Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Houston. NFL policy dictates that games on cable or being exclusively streamed must also be on an over-the-air station in the competing teams' markets. It will also be available on mobile devices in the U.S. for those who have NFL+. The biggest reason is money. The league is getting $150 million from Netflix for the two games this season. It also continues the NFL's moves into streaming — Thursday night games are in their third season on Amazon Prime Video and the "Sunday Ticket" package moved to YouTube TV last year. But Christmas is on a Wednesday when games usually aren't played. That's true, but the league wasn't about to give up Christmas after seeing the ratings. Last year's three games averaged 28.68 million viewers. The early afternoon contest between the Las Vegas Raiders and Chiefs led the way, averaging 29.48 million. The Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens and Texans played on Saturday, giving them the same turnaround they would have if they played on Sunday and then Thursday. All four have clinched playoff spots in the AFC, but seeding remains up for grabs. Kansas City (14-1) can clinch the top seed — which would mean a first-round bye and home field throughout the playoffs — with a win over the Steelers. U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's pick for NASA administrator, tech billionaire Jared Isaacman, said on Wednesday his planned private astronaut missions with Elon Musk's SpaceX may be paused as he prepares to enter government service. "The future of the Polaris program is a little bit of a question mark at the moment," Isaacman, who was tapped by Trump last week to lead NASA, said in response to a question at the Spacepower 2024 conference in Orlando. "It may wind up on hold for a little bit." Isaacman, a private astronaut and billionaire founder of payment processing company Shift4 Payments, owns the Polaris program, a series of private missions to space on SpaceX vehicles that have made him a key customer and associate of Musk. Making his first public appearance since being picked to lead NASA, Isaacman in an on-stage interview before a crowd of U.S. Space Force members raved about advances in the U.S. space industry such as reusable rockets and asteroid mining but offered no details on how he would lead NASA. In a letter to the Prime Minister, shadow foreign secretary Dame Priti Patel and shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick claimed the decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) had “no proper basis in international law”. They said the UK’s refusal to explicitly say whether or not the Israeli premier would be detained if he arrived in the country “opens the farcical spectre of your Government trying to sanction the arrest” of an ally to Britain. Kurtis Rourke has made the Jon Cornish Trophy a family affair. The Indiana quarterback received the award Monday, which is presented annually to the top Canadian playing football in the NCAA. Rourke’s older brother, Nathan, currently with the CFL’s B.C. Lions, won the award twice in 2017 and 2018 at Ohio. “It’s awesome,” Rourke said. “Kind of getting introduced to the Jon Cornish Trophy back when Nathan won it a couple of times, I wanted to be able to have a shot and it was one of my goals to be in the conversation, be in the running. “It just means a ton to be recognized just because Canadian athletes don’t get recognized too often. I’m just so glad we’re able to get that recognition and continue to do it for our country.” Rourke finished first in voting ahead of Montreal’s Dariel Djabome, a junior linebacker at Rutgers. Stanford receiver Elic Ayomanor, last year’s winner, was third, followed by Vancouver’s Ty Benefield (sophomore safety, Boise State) and Jett Elad of Mississauga, Ont., a senior safety at UNLV. The Union finance ministry already approved the project under a special assistance scheme and sanctioned Rs 100 crore, 50% of the Rs 200 crore allocation, for its construction. The CM also took stock of the plan for setting up the Rajasthan Mandapam , to be built over 40,000 sq mtr, on the lines of the Bharat Mandapam convention centre in New Delhi. While Rajasthan Mandapam, the bigger of the two, has some more loose ends to be tied up, groundwork for the Unity Mall is almost complete to start construction of the project. A senior official of the industry department said they expedited the development of the Unity Mall by getting detailed project reports approved. Ajitabh Sharma, principal secretary (industries), said, "The bidding process for awarding the contract for construction will be completed by Jan next year. We have laid out a roadmap to start construction of the facility by Feb 2025." Sharma said recently the department introduced the OPOP policy, and the Unity Mall will play a catalysing role in promoting the unique products of each district, while creating new streams of livelihood opportunities for local producers and artisans. Planned over 15,000 sq mtr in the RIICO Fintech Park near Jaipur airport, the Unity Mall will have shops for every ODOP, GI (geographical indication), and other state products. The facility will house a common training centre, classrooms, seminar halls, business meeting halls, and an open-air theatre for promotional activities. Inderjeet Singh, MD of RIICO, which is the nodal agency for developing the facility, said, "After engaging NBCC as project management consultant (PMC) for the project last month, we issued administrative and financial sanction of Rs 202 crore last week. The pre-bid meeting with bidders has also been completed. RIICO fast-tracked the process to start construction as early as Feb 2025." Designed to have four floors and close to 200 facilities, the project was announced in the Budget 2024-25. Besides the two projects, the chief minister also discussed plans for developing the 100-acre land at Fintech Park in a way that can enhance the state's high-end services prowess.
